Great value, well appointed, well done.

Well appointed, clean delightful house. With only six rooms in a large house, it feels very, very roomy. Unlike some places, nothing pedestrian, no IKEA furniture, no leftovers. Spacious living space, were you to want sitting space, spacious bedrooms, clean bathrooms, bathrobes, jacuzzi. Not just a hotel room.
And while simple…pastries in the morning, a variety of coffee/tea always available, real half and half in the fridge, fruit you can take, some grain bars, little apple/orange juice bottles 24/7. Even popcorn you could nuke. Pie in the evening.
No, not a hot breakfast, no, owners not living there, puttering around a common kitchen table, just a beautifully furnished old Victorian house. But, also with basic room/maid service. So much nicer than a hotel, and given the area, great value. Well done.

Main complaint is about the Grabbed and gone breakfast items gone at 8:50am. The early risers must have been hungry as items were not replenished. The kureig was really small and outdated. Person in front of me emptied it filling a thermos. Could not find a container to refill, used coffee cup. No lids for the grab and go coffee.just not up to expectations of frequented B&B. Would not book again. Overall a one night stay. Booked at the last minute and was not familiar.

Not a bed and breakfast

Nice and clean room in a good location. It is not what we excpected when we reserved a bed and breakfast place in Maine. We arrived at around 7pm. No one was in the house but an enveloppe with our name and key to the room, host was no show in our entire stay in the place. In the morning no host showed up and the breakfast was very poor (self service products with heating instructions). I booked a bed and breakfast not a self service airbnb or motel.

Thank you for visiting. It appears that you did not review our website that describes our business. We offer the freedom of a vacation rental and the convience of a B&B offering daily housekeeping and a light self serve breakfast. This model enables us to offer a reduced rate for our lodging - which as you pointed our was very nice and in a good location. You paid $225 for a room that would noramlly cost $299-$375 in a a full service B&B. As you booked the least expense room we offer, cost was clearly a concern for you. A Nice B & B

A quaint, turn-key B and B. The accommodations were lovely, and the evening sweet treat was a nice bonus. They serve fresh-baked pastries, fruit, yogurt, and coffee for a grab and go breakfast.
Our only complaint was the faint odor from the shower drain (smelled of tomcat).

You call that homemade breakfast?

Nice place. Not a real Bed and Breakfast.
Check in - no host. Check out - no host.
They say they have homemade breakfast.
One Yoplait Yogurt left. Sunny D. A few apples and crappy oranges. A few Nutria-grain bars.
A few muffins and a few chocolate cake bars. I doubt they made them.
“Homemade” and “Breakfast” - two words that are used on their web site. Wasn’t even on par with a chain continental breakfast. For $270, it was not even close to being a Bed and Breakfast. Disappointed by this less than personal service - change your web site and remove Homemade Breakfast from your site.

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay at the Inn. We want all of our guests to have a wonderful experience. From the information we received from your wife, from her call on arrival, she expected a sit-down breakfast and was surprised by the continental breakfast mentioned in the check-in information. As you booked the reservation online and the breakfast information is discussed many times on the website, and on the room selection and on your confirmation letter, it appears that you miss read the website, booking engine and the confirmation letter. On the website we define our Inn as a Vacation Rental B&B with the independence and privacy of a vacation rental, with onsite Innkeepers if you need assistance. As you and your wife had at least 4 separate interactions with Innkeepers in less than 18 hours it is clear that we are available to our guests. Best wishes for your future travels.
