Terrible stay for the second time. Stay elsewhere!!

I don’t know what happened to this hotel, but it has gone downhill…and FAST! This is the only hotel in town, so we usually stay here 2-4 times a year. However, after our last 2 stays I refuse to ever stay here again! There was rust on the lamps, mold/mildew covering an entire corner of the room, the air conditioner leaked, and the staff “couldn’t do anything about it.” We called around for other accommodations but there were two big events in town that weekend so there weren’t any within a 30-minute drive. We had a terrible experience last time we stayed here but decided to give them another chance. They WILL NOT be getting a third chance.

We booked a week in advance; king bed room NS; upon arrival to the hotel to check in We were told by a rude clerk that we had to settle for 2 queen beds because they overbooked & others arrived before us so they gave our reserved room away. Once in the room there was only a tiny bit of toilet paper on the roll, one tissue in the tissue box & 2 towels so I had to go down to the lobby to get more. Once I returned to the room I proceeded to the shower were I discovered the shower curtain was moldy & dirty. The water saver was so bad on the shower head it took 35 minutes just to shower. About 12 midnight there was loud music playing to the point we were unable to sleep until after 3am. I would not recommend this Wyndham Gardens New Roads and will hesitate to book at a Wyndham Garden again. Obviously they have done there own reviews.

Customer service: Shady, Worst of the Worst

Was supposed to be at this hotel for 35 days, for work. Hotel in itself was OK, nothing great, nothing horrible, except for a few morning with no hot water. Now the BAD: customer service is the worst of the worst!! After day 21, I return after a 12 hour shift to find my room packed up; clothes refrigerator contents and all. They chalked it up to lack of communication on their part and did reimburse me for the food that at that point sat out all day. It doesn't end; upon rebooting, rooms rates have now gone up rough $50 per night. I question this with no success. I needed a place to stay, so stayed one more night. My credit card was billed an overage of almost $1000. Think I can get anyone (i guess the managers name is "Willie", or at least that's how the desk personel know him) to call me back to resolve this? No, I try reaching out numerous times for a week, with nothing but a constant run around. Leaves me with no other option but to dispute charges with my CC company. Absolute nightmare of a stay, and I will recommend people to find someplace else to stay if in the New Roads area.

There was no hot water in the hotel. The lady at the desk told me there was no hot water until the next day.

The two rooms we booked were not cleaned thoroughly. One room had sunflower seed shells on the floor, a bug in the sink and one in the closet (roach, water bug). The other room had used shampoo and soap in the bathroom.
