This was our 2nd trip to the Keys and we liked the Marathon location (on the water!). Our room was very spacious except for a very tiny bathroom. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our only "complaint" was roosters crowing throughout the night and waking us up multiple times. Seems the wild chickens are becoming more prevalent here and probably not much to do about it unless you stay in a high rise.

Dirty! needs painting. Mold in AC unit visible. Shower needed to be cleaned.
Blinds on the windows were dirty and one blind had a broken slot which we had to cover window with paper for privacy. Shower pressure was next to nothing. I have long hair and would not have been able to get the shampoo rinsed out if I had tried, that's how bad the pressure was. WE WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!

The location was convenient for exploring the Keys. We stopped here just for one night. The floors were dirty but bathroom & kitchen area were all clean.

Excellent quiet hotel onwater & great staff!

Kingsail Resort is the best in Marathon Key been staying at this motel for many years and live here in Florida and come down a dozen times a year or so and has a great staff and the manager Charlotte goes out of her way to accommodate all guests with excellent top notch guest services and this place is run great and has comfortable renovated rooms on the water and quiet and very peaceful and would like to thank them once again and my guests I always bring fall in love with this property! The front desk lady was personable and welcoming but the room was not what we purchased. Our reservation was for 2 queen size beds and a pull out couch. Both beds were full size beds and the pull out couch was larger than the beds. We spoke to the front desk about this and we were told that they recently renovated or upgraded and all rooms should be queen size beds. She asked what room we were in and said she would make note of it to be checked and said some rooms may have gotten overlooked. There was no resolution offered for the situation, but the next morning when we checked out, there was another room number added to the sticky note about wrong size beds. The facility was clean, but it was definitely crowded sleeping.
