Bathroom was a little outdated. Room was super clean. Bed was comfortable. Lots of space. Will definitely stay again next time im in the area. Entrance and lobby were amazing!

Just walking into the Lobby of the Hilton Frontenac you can see that they have put a lot of effort into creating a feel of luxury. Especially this lobby area is very nice. The whole building feels a little bit on the dated size, but the staff is super friendly and everything seems very clean and in place. The only complaint I might have was stepping out of the Elevator on the 2nd floor the was a very odorous smell, it smelled like ammonia, or whatever cleaner they had used in the hallway. This smell lingered in the hall during our entire 24 hour stay. However, upon entering into our room we didn't have any smell lingering within the room.
Our room was super nice and comfortable. One of my favorite little touches that they have done at the Frontenac is that all of the AC units are hidden in side of little wood boxes which make them look like an end-table is setting in front of the window and you don't have this big AC Unit just sticking out. It's a nice aesthetic touch.
The front desk staff was also super helpful. Upon leaving the house we forgot our toiletry bag, but the front desk was nice enough to provide a set of toothbrushes and toothpaste, as well as a travel razor, and shaving cream.
If you're looking for a place to stay that feels a little on the luxurious side, but doesn't cost an arm and a leg... this is your place.
I did wish the pool was indoors, but in a month or so it won't batter.

The outside of the hotel looks pretty and as you would expect a 4 star hotel to look. The front desk staff were friendly, but slow. I booked the largest suite for my two children and I. The gentleman at the front desk commented, “I see you’ve booked one of our nicest rooms.” We recorded directions how to access our suite which was located in the Clayton building. Upon entering our room there was an odd smell and the room was very dated. When I went to use the bathroom the were short hairs all over the toilet and the bottom of bathroom door looked as if it had been sitting in water and was fanning out and curling up. The vent on the ceiling in the sitting room was covered in black dust. The sofa and chairs stained and tattered. The carpet fraying.
We were only in the room less than 20minutes and I couldn’t take it. I called the front desk to address all of the gross issues. I was told there was no other suite like that available, so I requested my money back and was told to come to the front desk to “check out” so that we did. We were assured there would be no charges on my credit card. I continued to receive text messages from the hotel for the next few days which prompted me to call the front desk to confirm they indeed checked me out and that there would be no charges…they verbally confirmed that any hold on my credit card would be released in a few days. I’m still waiting to confirm the hold is gone.
This is by no means a 4-star hotel. I would say 3-star is generous.

A surprisingly perfect experience
This is a very, very well-run hotel. I wish I knew the name of the man who checked us in (olive skin, 30s, glasses). He seemed like a manager and was very professional. As a gold member he thanked us for our loyalty and gave us a $30/day food and beverage credit. Coupled with the gorgeous lobby it was a wonderful welcome. Our room was above the lobby and was fantastic. Huge, beautiful, very comfortable. We ate several times in the restaurant and the food was excellent. The eggs benedict is the best I ever had and the pub chips are dreamy. We also had room service twice and it was very efficient and reasonable.
We were with a rather large group and not everyone had the same experience. There is a part of the hotel that I did not see that is unrenovated and the people who were there were not thrilled with their accommodations. I am sure when the entire hotel is renovated it will all be spectacular. In the meantime, though, our experience was absolutely perfect and I would not hesitate to stay again. It is clear that whoever is in charge keeps everything running well.

Really enjoyed our stay. Hotel and room clean and comfortable with attentive and friendly staff. Restaurant and lounge great! All they need is an in house coffee shop and it would be complete!
