$50 parking, pool and terrace closed, breakfast not included

$50/ night parking. No free breakfast. Pool and terrace closed. Hotel is darker and more outdated than photos. It is nicely located to “bean” and other Chicago attractions. We chose this BW for pool and view. Both were closed. It is also nice to have some sort of quick, free breakfast, to get the kids going.Not here.

Worst hotel experience I've ever had. First, after checking in I found the previous occupant's socks next to the bed which made me question how well the room had been cleaned.
Then guest in the next room had a party and yelled swear words at frequent intervals, and the party lasted until after midnight. I sent a message to the staff but never got a response. When I eventually went to the desk to leave a complaint, no one was there. After a while someone eventually came, and they said they'd send security to check the situation, but no one did anything until the party ended naturally around 3am. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep that night. I didn't get a response from the staff to my message even after checking out, they ignored me completely.
Everything in the room feels flimsy and low quality - the walls are super thin and you hear all the noise around you, not only from the other rooms but from the neighborhood as well. The floors are creaky and a guest's activities in the floor above me made the bed shake in my room. The desk was wobbly and shook from the lightest touch. Even the toilet didn't flush properly.
The juice machine in the lobby was advertised as operational between 6am to 9am, but on two out of four mornings it didn't work.
Would recommend staying at pretty much any other place than this one.

Long weekend getaway with my husband. The hotel had onsite parking. The parking is third party but very easy to use. Location is right off a main freeway so it’s really easy to get too. The hotel is maybe a tad outdated, but I think that is to be expected for a hotel in this price range and in an older downtown building. You cannot beat the price and location. Within a mile walk to all the places we wanted to go. The room was clean. The only complaint I would have is no refrigerator in the room. I know this is not something hotel always have but it seems they more often than not do. I would stay there again.

The hotel staff are amazing! I had to request help a couple times and everyone that I talked to was so kind and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again!
