Homely and cosy, safe and friendly

I actually really enjoyed my stay here. My room was clean and homely. Very secure. All staff were lovely and friendly. It works. Breakfast was lovely. There is a carvery on Thursday nights. For the price I would definitely book again. Wouldn't mind seeing a dinner, bed and breakfast option when booking.

Christ.
What a shambles the carvery was. Heat lamps were broken, which resulted in cold meat. Plates are so small that you actually can't put anything on them.
Restaurant is so dull, dark, cold and run down. With absolutely no atmosphere. Service lacking. We spent the majority of team looking for staff. Will avoid in future.

Comfortable and welcoming

We stayed here as we had travelled for a family funeral sadly. The accommodation was clean and comfortable- we had courtyard rooms. Had a cosy feel about them. Staff were very welcoming and breakfast was £10 extra per person if required. We did have one and they were very good. Would use again if in the area. Thank you

Good bits & not so good bits!

We went in for a carvery on the off chance & were generally pleased with our meal. Meat was nice & veg all fresh. Plates were tiny so you couldn’t get much on. Puddings were £6, choice of apple streusel or Xmas pud. Mine was very thin slice which had been microwaved until it was burnt & hard. Not worth £6 even if it was unburnt. Coffee was mediocre

Terrible Hotel

Well what can I stay we have never stayed in such a depressing hotel…… the carpet was filthy and the furniture was like going back to the 50s. In the bathroom the ceiling had been leaking and the water was so slow and the toilet didn’t flush correctly. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was ok. I think they should refurbish it to close it down!
