I was comfortable with the cleanliness; in the current pandemic there is no such thing as “too clean”. That said, I do think the fridge should have been properly wiped down inside before our stay.
There was municipal load shedding and an interruption to the power supply three times during our stay. The owner should perhaps invest in an inverter (UPS) to at least keep the TV, WiFi and lights powered during loadshedding. The bathrooms were particularly dark without any lights.
All said and done, I wouldn’t hesitate to return and would recommend it to anyone thinking about it.
