Stay at Kigali - Isimbi Hotel

This is an amazing Serene place to stay , the staffs are amazing and i loved the food especially the starter , thumbs up Chef!! Will definitely come back again!!!! Then there is Bicu Lounge on top Soooo heavenly !!!

Good location but very noisy.

Visually, the foyer and lift is the best part of this hotel. We were on the 6th floor and it was noisy with other young guests on a sporting trip together with a bar that they have on the 7th floor playing loud music until quite late.
The room was clean and basic, although the bed was very comfortable. They do not really cater for vegetarians and my evening meal was cheesy chips priced at roughly £8. Breakfast included in the booking provides no choice so much of it we couldn’t eat and the service was polite but very slow.

Almost at the heart of the 1000 hills country

Isimbi hotel is located in the city centre. The place is closer to forex bureaux, banks, local authorities offices, art and jewellery boutiques and souvenirs,... The Kigali City Market is just steps away. While at the hotel, a nice cup of coffee to start the day. The place is convenient and we used it to plan a trip to Musanze where plenty of activities are available including gorillas trekking, Musanze Caves, Canoeing on Ukungwa river... And so on
While meeting my friends, I enjoyed the Chef' s salad as their speciality of that day.
You will not be disappointed and the staff is friendly and polite.
The hotel is upgrading and work are at an advanced stage

We can NOT recommend this place

We have been often at that place, but since the owner is not anymore there is less quality!!!! No Water from 12.a.m. In some rooms u have no light in the bathroom. Some of the peronal is unfriendly. And in the end they cheat us with the money - that is a NO GO. In the end they got 10.000 more .After we called them, they lie to us -its not True. But i'm sorry it was true! !! They lie at us and told us it was a mistunderstanding. Yes it was one we will never sleep there again !!! U can find so many Hotels in Kigali so all I can say again is - never again! !!

Good value for the budget travellers

The hotel is centrally located in the city centre. They have an excellent breafast and the buffet is good. Small business meetings are ok to close some deals especially when when the bugdet is tight. Excellent cuisine and very tasty.
