Big disappointment! Never again!
The rooms are only superficially cleaned. There are stains all over the carpet and the wall. The bed is very uncomfortable (probably very old mattress) and the bed linen smelled musty. The curtains also smelled very much like cigarettes as if they hadn't been washed for years. The air conditioning is not working properly. The only thing she does is spread a horrible smell in the room. There is also no kettle or coffee machine or other extras in the room (just one piece of silk and two paper cups). Unfortunately, the doors are not insulated at all either, we could hear everything that happened in the lobby. Only positive thing about the room is the view.
Our real highlight the spa was unfortunately also a disappointment. They look like the pictures but is dirty. In order to use the pool you have to wear a swimming cap, which you can then buy at the reception. You also have to pick up the towels there (you get a voucher at check-in). Bathrobes must also be rented and paid for. You can't get bath slippers, which leads to guests walking around in the spa area wearing normal shoes, which explains the dirty floor. There were also little piles of hair everywhere. This combined me the very noisy air conditioning, the stained deck chairs and dirty windows has unfortunately not invited to relax.
The restaurant is fine, but definitely not at the level it should be in such a hotel.

Great stay for New Year celebrations and relaxation!
The room was large, with comfortable bed and a balcony with the most beautiful sea view overlooking the town. Waking up every morning with this view was so relaxing.
We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and were pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding. From the starters to the mains and deserts, we were delighted every single day. We specifically recommend the shrimp and the picado as starters, naco as main and delícia do nordeste as a dessert.
We also used the spa which was very easy to book. The indoor swimming pool was beautiful with copper tiles, the water was warm and the sauna was easy to set up.
The gardens are nicely maintained.
We also celebrated New Year’s Eve party at the hotel. The dinner was excellent and the team had party items for the guests to use which was a nice surprise. The village fireworks were launched right from the road in front so we had the best view from our balcony! As the hotel is also so close to the village, we walked out to see the New Year concert and eat the largest cake which was free!
The staff are so thoughtful and kind. Definitely recommend this hotel.
