Great budget to midrange option.
Pros:
Perfectly clean, of course.
1 minute walk to subway station, 7-11, & supermarket. McDonalds is across from subway station if you like.
Larger room than I expected given the price and that it's urban Japan
Great service at front desk. Great service cleaning the room.
Simple style in room (budget-ish), but tasteful/cute.
Cons:
Though 1 min walk from the station - it's on the Nanakuma subway line - not much there for tourists. And transferring to the Kuko line requires a 5-10 minute underground walk.
Some sound from nearby elevated train tracks. But not very loud. Only enough to bother a very light sleeper. My earlier review complains of a Thai *side street* and the noise from cars there. I'm not immune, just the commuter trains are quite and the insulation decent. We didn't notice the noise except initially. Later it's quite enough one doesn't notice it unless looking for it.
Centrally-controlled climate control. You turn it on or off, no selection as to your room's particular temperature.
Overall, we were very impressed. *Especially* as it was picked via lowest price only.
Hidden gem? I'm unsure. More comfortable/nice than a gem, but for the price - possibly.
