Highly recommended place

Lovely place, excellent staff, impeccable cleanliness, exhaustive welcome service, really very kind and with parking space, clean rooms, complete with everything, we were there in December, but for the summer there is also the pool, really nice.

It's okay as a business less as a family

We booked one day before the night so there was not much choice and especially our trusted hotel was closed. That said at the level of classic three star services this plus has unproven paid Spa. Luckily they were staying on the river side so we didn't have major noise problems. Do not book if you are looking for a hotel to walk to the center as it is quite distant. International breakfast but the union minimum. Friendly staff and adequate price
Ideal for business overnight given the location and as it also has a restaurant (not tried)

Weekend of the Epiphany

Centrally located, spacious hotel with ample parking, spacious and well equipped rooms.
The only flaw cleaning should be done with more attention.... varied and good breakfast buffet.

bad, a nightmare

Third floor room, elevator doesn't work, it opens and closes the doors all the time, but it doesn't move, it doesn't go up, it doesn't go down, and you lose a lot of time and a thousand attempts to get down or up and make it work. No wifi in the room (wifi would be included in the services). 2 cobwebs dangling above the bed from the ceiling above the bed, so while I sleep they reach my face. Room frozen, they had not turned on the heating, I had advised of my arrival at 3 pm, they turn it on at 8 pm after my complaints, it heats up at 9 pm. I ask for blankets (in the room there was neither a duvet, nor a blanket, in December and it freezes). They give me the blanket, which they pretend to open from a sealed plastic bag, maybe to pretend they're clean or sanitized, I open it, and it's full of four-mile-long, black hair that isn't mine, for obvious reasons. Are these the clean, sealed blankets? I go to Spa that I had booked in advance. Nobody tells me the door is locked and you need an electronic key to get in and the front desk was supposed to hand me over and they know that because spa hours are booked. So I'm forced to go back to reception in my bathrobe and ask how to get into the spa I booked. Dinner set menu: you order at the table on the spot (despite having asked to order already in the morning) and also wait more than half an hour before the dish arrives. In the room we're maybe 4 to 5 tables no more and we never all arrive together, so it doesn't explain the long wait. 9.00 pm offer to change my room, but only the next morning, to solve the wifi problem....ok if I moved the next day we would solve MAYBE the wifi problem, and everything else? So it was more the stress of changing rooms, redoing and unpacking for just one remaining day of the stay, than the benefit, so I don't change rooms and do without wifi. The next day: I book the spa in the morning at a certain time of the evening, when I arrive there, the machines of the Spa are switched off. So I go back upstairs to reception in my bathrobe to say that the cars are off and ask to come and turn them on, when I had booked and of course they had to be turned on first. Good thing I was there to rest. The next morning I have to leave, I almost miss the train and taxi because of the elevator that does not work and I do not walk 3 floors with my suitcase. A thousand attempts and time wasted to operate the elevator and get off. At the time of the check they have the courage to ask me if everything went well and of course I say: NO. I make a list of all their behaviors and problems created and they say: "But we offered her a change of room" answer more than absurd and nonsensical: but excuse me what should a change of room solve? Maybe it gives me wifi, but it doesn't solve everything else they've caused them with lack of care and attention, without any regard for the customer, creating a thousand inconveniences. They bill me, ask me for the full amount of extras, pay, go out. Given the trouble and inconvenience they caused me, they could have discounted the extras to meet me or rectified or compensated in some way, if they were Lords. I had gone there to rest for two days, instead a nightmare. Friendly staff, but absolutely incapable and does not even know how to run a hotel with guests. They're incompetent, totally unprepared. The place itself would be nice and have potential if it was run better. What's really unacceptable is that they're wrong, but they still want to be right, instead of admitting their mistakes and trying to right them. I wouldn't have reviewed if they'd at least behaved better in the end. Not recommended.

Good value for money & great location

Stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Rivus. Room was clean & tidy with everything we needed.
Breakfast was very good, lots of choice.
Spa €20 each was great & perfect after a busy day.
This is not an upmarket hotel but you are not paying a lot.
I thought it was good value for money with great staff.
