Comfortable stay and friendly assistance

We stayed over at hotel Doria when we were touring on bicycles through Italy. We arrived last minute but the staff made it work to get us the last room. Because we had bikes the woman at the desk helped us bring our baggage in and secured them in storage for the night. All correspondence with the staff was friendly.
The room was very standard but what you expect from a three star hotel: clean, tidy with modern furniture and air-conditioning.
Pricing was also very reasonable even in high season.
The only thing we think the hotel could improve on is maybe include fruit on the complementary breakfast.
All in all we were happy with our stay and would recommend people to go to hotel Doria when staying in Ostiglia.

Sleepless nights....

For work we stayed at this property 2 nights. Too bad there must have been a fishing event, as the hotel was full of fishermen who at 5am started to prepare themselves and everything necessary for fishing, making a lot of noise and leaving the rooms at 6am... 2 nights with the alarm clock at 5am... as if that wasn’t enough, on Sunday since the hotel at 6am was freed from all the fishermen, the cleaning staff decided to immediately start cleaning the rooms, moving beds, vacuuming, even if they had been warned by the waiting staff that rooms were still sleeping.
Not acceptable behavior, I'm sorry!

You sleep well

3-star hotel in Ostiglia on a busy road. It has enough rooms but apart from the very comfortable bed they have basic and dated furniture and are a bit neglected
Good Wi-Fi, friendly staff
The restaurant offers lunch and dinner both with menu for hotel guests and for those who want to dine
Good cuisine varies from meat to fish For breakfast not stocked there are croissants and homemade cake, yogurt, cereals, ham and cheese and fruit
The plus is the pool (in a quiet and convenient place)
It is also a bike hotel
Despite the location on a busy road it is well soundproofed and you sleep well

Not to be repeated

Room with old, poorly maintained furniture. Dust everywhere. Hard bed covered with a hospital-type tarpaulin. Old and dirty cramped bathroom, a shameful shower tray.
Breakfast......just take the croissant.
High price for what they offer.
I don't recommend it.

Nice family hotel giving you that “family feeling”

We arrived in Ostiglia as a “stop over” in our 500 km bike-ride in the Po-Valley. Hotel Doria is a small family run hotel with restaurant. It is a typical 3 star hotel with nice clean rooms and a good working airco. You’ll need to cross the hotel parking to go to the swimming pool, but it is very nice and clean and toilets are available in the pool area.
The food was very good. But this came as no surprise to us, given the large number of locals in the restaurant.
The drive and enthusiasm of “mama” made the experience excellent. As guests, you are like being part of the family.
Like in a lot of other places in Italy, the knowledge of English (or another foreign language) is minimal. But we managed to understand each other.
