Can't recommend it enough .......
Fabulous ........stayed here for four nights with Leger. Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous setting by the lake. Spotlessly clean, lovely helpful staff. My room was amazing - very big with king size bed and a single bed, table and chairs, flat screen tv - and still plenty of room. Lovely en suite with large shower cubicle (good, hot shower) and twin basins. Warm and cosy, felt very at home. Balcony with table and chairs, with lovely views at the back of the building. Very quiet too. First time that I have stayed in a hotel with a pond of Koi in the reception area! No choice of menu but food was very nice. Good selection at breakfast. Can't recommend this hotel enough. I will definitely be back ..........

For the money a disappointing experience!
Let me start on a positive note. Everything was clean. For our room we had to go outside. The interior was reminiscent of a fifties interior, very dated and in need of an upgrade. Everything in the bathroom was broken or sat with plasters stuck together. The mattresses were in great need of renewal.
The reception was short and businesslike and started after I had already waited at the desk. The hotel owner was on more important business, I think.
The next day, when I asked if a taxi could be called, the number was dialled and I got my hands on the phone. Luckily I managed but still very strange. When we needed an extra blanket a man from the service was very friendly. He got another duvet and laid it out for us in the room.
In the afternoon the beds were nicely made again, even my nightdress was neatly folded, which was nice.
But no new soaps or shampoo in the bathroom and on closer inspection the toilet was not cleaned properly.
We couldn't pay by credit card at the end.
This hotel has had grandeur but now feels very dated.
The owners look tired and have benevolent and friendly staff who are not always aware of how things should go in a hotel. The fact that we could not get to our room by shortcut was also a minus. Especially at this time of year, it is not pleasant to have to go through the cold again after consuming a nice beer.

Faded glory?
We have known this case for many years and have the impression that we have had the best.
This time we did not stay there but took lunch on our way to Aachen for the Christmas market. In the dining room we sat alone, except for two elderly ladies who started the 4 o'clock too early.
We had 3 x schnitzel and 1 x trout. The latter was left over and therefore dry, the schnitzels way too dry and without much taste, the fries were quite ok and the salad beforehand was very tasty.
The service was as usual very friendly and attentive, the food also arrived on time and the price was reasonable. We had eaten but that's all we've said.

not recommended
Rooms were relative , breakfast could pass , but you had to be among the first . The drink by the glass far too expensive and the dinner not to do. Well in the area nice for walking . Looks nice on the outside but does not match one should expect inside .

Great view and more!
A recommended house where you are served friendly and prompt. With 4 different dishes everything was very good taste. View of the lake, what more could you want! Prices also moderate. The portions large enough to be full. Lunch is really cheap.
