Highly recommended, reservation urgently

The food is very good. We found a seat on the terrace. 1/2 knuckle of pork and a large salad plate. Both were very tasty and plentiful. Very friendly service. Prices are reasonable. We would be happy to come back.

Hotel in Eichstätt

This place is probably more known and appreciated as restaurant. The hotel is not very modern but is very conveniently located in the city centre. WLAN is okay, service is fine. It looks clean. I would not recommend for a business trip (I don’t have a desk in my room) but there are not many alternatives in town.

A nice place to spend your business trip

The hotel is located in the very heart of the picturesque small town. The room is spacious, comfortable and nicely furnished. The staff of the hotel and restaurant is very young though very helpful and always smiling. The restaurant is highly recommended for those who enjoy typical Bayern dishes, which are homemade and very tasty. There’s also a variety of quality food for breakfast in the morning. I would definitely recommend this place.

We were there twice in a row. :)

Good food, it was not too expensive. The service was fantastic really kind and enthusiastic. Really really good Burgers (especially the small starter Burgers) and Beer. Just the Asiansoup was a bit cold

Real disappointment

Stayed here for 1 night earlier this week. First the good: our bedroom was a nice size, lots of storage, very clean, good size bathroom, recently renovated, decent price, good location. Now the bad: parking was very confusing. Web site made it sound like parking was readily available at hotel. Wrong - parking is 2 blocks away in front of a church and not marked. Some staff were not very friendly, especially compared to our other hotels on this trip, a few were nice. Did not hear street noise with windows closed but could hear people above us. Fortunately, noise only lasted for a few minutes and did not keep us up at night. Based on reviews on another site, we expected excellent food. Wrong. While lunch was good and built up our expectations for dinner, my Haxe (pig knuckle) was dry and tough, tasted like it was sitting there all day. My husband's spare rib, on the daily specials, were just as bad, and the sauce was just ketchup. Only beer on tap was the local town beer, same as all the other bars in town and just average. Best part of stay was our dessert - apfel ringe, basically an apple ring fried in dough and sprinkled with cinnamon/sugar. It's one of our favorite desserts and Trompete makes an excellent one. Breakfast was very limited, meats and cheeses were lesser quality than usual.
So stay here for clean room, excellent location, dessert but not for food or friendly service.

herzlichen Dank für Ihre Bewertung, auch wenn Sie nicht durchweg postiv ist. Vorab möchte ich Ihnen mitteilen, dass es mich sehr freut, dass es Ihnen grundlegend in unserem Haus gut gefallen hat. Hervorheben möchte ich hierbei die Lage unseres Hauses, die Ihre Übernachtung in unserem Hotel und das Dessert.
Leider kann ich daher nicht nachvollziehen warum Sie als Überschirft "Real Disappointment" gewählt haben. Was natürlich nicht heißt, dass mir Ihre schlechte Erfahrung mit unserem normalerweise überall sehr gelobten Essen außerordentlich leid tut. Im nachhinein ist es schwierig herauszufinden was bei Ihren beiden Gerichten schief gelaufen ist. Von meiner Seite kann ich nur sagen, dass wir gerade diese Gerichte bereits den ganzen Sommer mit sehr viel Erfolg und großen Lob unseren Gästen angeboten haben. Leider kommt es auch bei uns zwar sehr selten aber trotzdem ab und zu zu Qualitätsschwankungen und es tut mir sehr leid, dass dies bei Ihnen passiert ist.
Besonders entschuldigen möchte ich mich für die von Ihnen empfundene Unfreundlichkeit unseres Servicepersonals. Wir sind stets sehr bemüht einen professionellen, freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Service anzubieten was uns anscheindend bei Ihnen nicht gelungen ist. Selbstverständlch werde ich Ihre Kritik dazu verwenden unser Personal in Küche wie Service auf ein neues zu sensibilisieren.
