Location is perfect for those keen on watching the nightly Westlake Impression show - literally a stone's throw. Otherwise the view of Westlake (from our balcony) is obscured by trees.

The romance of Shangri-La beside the famed West Lake

I missed the survey sent by the hotel, but I wish to express my views of staying at the hotel. Its like coming back home and I have stayed here for the last 8 years.
I was having a slight cough during 1 of the days and the restaurant manager Kate Tao took note of it and prepared pear soup for me the next morning during breakfast.
Michelle Li after my first stay, never ever forgot my face. Their team consisting of Aylwin, Angel, Summer, Jingxuan, Edison, Cyril and Tom took very good care of us and my guests who were thoroughly impressed.
The view of the West Lake which is 5 mins away makes up for the slightly aged hardware. But I will always stay here if I am in Hangzhou.

A hotel with history. It is a little old but still a great stay. The staff are friendly and the food is very tasty.

Very close to the lake with 20 meters
The facilities are too old with bad smell

The Shangri-La Hangzhou has provided me with legendary service. When I asked operator for a thermometer to check if I got a fever, they sent it to me very quickly. I measured the temperature and the staff watched it. As soon as she got downstairs, she shared the case to Front Desk Mgr.. Soon after, I received a call from the manager. She asked me if I need fruit to increase VC, and 4 waters. Moreover, she said that all medicine from Concierge can be sent to my room. I was deeply moved. Thanks to the FO Team, and I am grateful to stay with you again.
