For a special occasion
One of the perks here is a free wine tasting at Pooleys Wines and you only have to walk across the road! A comprehensive continental breakfast is provided in the conservatory.
The bonus is the historic town of Richmond is in walking distance, and plenty of things to see.
Very much enjoyed our stay.

Charming and picturesque
Highly recommended. We will keep going back each year as the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Richmond countryside.

As your booking was made through a third-party platform (Booking.com), there are specific guidelines in place that protect both your personal information and their business policies. This sometimes limits our ability to communicate directly regarding changes or cancellations. Since the booking was not made directly through our website, we do not receive any funds from Booking.com until the day of check-in, meaning any refund requests must be processed through them. While we were able to facilitate the cancellation, the final decision on a refund was up to Booking.com.
After speaking with you on March 17, we had hoped to clear up some of the miscommunication and explore the possibility of rebooking a stay for you later in the year. We're truly sorry that you were unable to receive a refund through Booking.com. Should you wish to book directly with us in the future, we would love the opportunity to provide you with the high level of service we strive for and hopefully change your perception of our property.

Our 45th Wedding Anniversary at Prospect House, Richmond
Our room was spacious and well appointed, it was an easy walk downstairs to the restaurant, and nothing was a problem. The meals were superb yet surprisingly simple with choices from the main food groups. The wines were another level from Pooleys Wines which is associated with the venue. We would recommend doing the tasting and having the pizza lunch at the winery.
The property is situated close to Hobart and many other attractions. Our focus was the food and wines of the area and we were not disappointed.
We would highly recommend Prospect House as a destination.
