Beautiful hotel, great location
We stayed at Crowne Plaza twice during our visit to Tasmania.
We found the service at the hotel faultless. On our second visit we dropped our bags to the Concierge and they were in our room before we got back from dropping off the hire car.
We were greeted by Tara both times on our visit. Tara is lovely and gave us some great local ideas - it was a great checkin/out experience.
Our room both times was excellent. We had great views of Mt Wellington and on our last stay could see both Mt Wellington and the Derwent Bridge from our corner room. The rooms were spacious, spotless and the bathrooms very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the automatic blinds and curtains a great convenience.
The Crowne Hotel is very well located, close to the waterfront, main mall, supermarket, cafes, the excellent restaurants at Battery Point and the Salamanca (which has a market once a week). They also have a lunch special for $20 which we didn’t try but it looks great and is served on a lovely spot on level 4 with both indoor and outdoor areas.
This was among the best hotels we have stayed in over the last few years. Highly recommended!

Just perfect
We loved the location in the heart of Hobart, an easy walk to all the attractions.
Our king room was well appointed and roomy with a view of kunanyi/Mt Wellington. The bed was very comfortable with a choice of pillows. We couldn't fault the bathroom and loved the bath products.
Breakfast was excellent. with a wide array of options and a choice of barista made coffee, or a machine to make your own.
Staff we encountered were universally friendly and helpful. We'd love to stay here again when next we visit Hobart.

Excellent staff and cleanliness
Excellent location in the middle of town and within an easy walk to the piers, shopping and salamanca. My daughter and I had separate rooms in different parts of the building which gave us both good views. The rooms were comfortable and extremely clean, particularly the bathroom. The staff, especially Preeti were helpful and friendly. The lounge area was worthwhile and Evan,Paula and Fanni were attentive and always helpful. I sincerely would recommend this hotel.

Gem of a Hotel
I actually stayed on the Good Friday - Easter weekend in April 2023 (ignore the May 2024 pre-set date, couldn't change it).
The location was fabulous, right in the city and adjacent to shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the famous Salamanca Markets.
The bathroom was spacious, modern and my room had a lovely view of the city. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
The lighting in the hallway (on my floor) was very dim, don't know if this has changed since my visit. I did comment to the reception staff.
Buffet breakfast was delicious, the dining room very spacious. I ate dinner in the hotel restaurant, food was delicious in generous portions.
Overall, enjoyed my stay here. Friendly, helpful staff, great service.

Hotel location is convenient with many restaurants and shops and a supermarket nearby. With valet parking provided by hotel aud35 per day. Bathroom’s shower area no door so the floor got wet after having a shower.
