Absolutely horrible and disgusting
I stayed there for 9 months and got evicted because I was locked out of my room on New Year's morning 2025. ALL guest key cards were inoperable that day until 3pm. I called the night person, Fox, that lives on site, 7 times. Then called the dayshift employee Kayla, that also lives on site, twice. After 9 unanswered phone calls, I knocked on their doors as I did not know what else to do. 20 mins later they evicted me.
During those 9 months I dealt with the smells of a week+ long dead old lady along with her two dead dogs and a dead cat on my floor (4th) two doors down from my room for over a month. No one investigated when I made mention several times prior that something was starting to smell really badly on my floor. It took 5 full days after my initial complaint for someone to actually go and check on that lady, but they only did so because I showed them pictures of maggots crawling out from under the old lady's door. All I smelled for weeks after that was very strong bleach fumes mixed with horrendous dead body smells. That room (#404) was never professionally cleaned like it is supposed to be after the death of several bodies rotting (PTAC unit was turned off) for that long of a time period. I could still smell death long after the bleach fumes dissipated. I dealt with maggots, corpse flies, drug addicts wandering the halls at all hours, saw and killed all different types of roaches, dog and cat urine smells plus animal feces smells or accidents in the stairwells and hallways, cigarette smoke odors and death odors coming through bathroom exhaust and in the hallways, excessive black mold, bacteria and algae in PTAC units and black mold under the plank flooring, mildew, side door and rear main door's keypads not working for months and months, propped open with rocks so anyone was able to get in without a key card, homeless & drunk people wandering around outside and digging in the dumpster, fire alarms randomly going off, elevator out of order countless times, and threats of being kicked out if I called the police over a disturbing neighboring guest. They do not enforce their quiet hours as listed on the small brochure they give at check in so be prepared to be kept awake all night long. It is a wood framed building with no back up generator fyi.
I never felt so unsafe in my entire life at an establishment that is supposed to be hospitable to their guests' comfort, health and safety. All of my friends and family have vowed to never step foot into any ESA hotels going forward based solely on my horrific experiences.
If you like the Jerry Springer show, this is the hotel for you! You also need to know that a few employees there are thieves and liars, so keep valuables and cash with you at all times or set up a camera like I did. I do not recommend having your mail or packages delivered there or they will go missing! Ask me how I know.
ESA: Save your finger tips and don't even bother spewing nonsense about how you take these matters seriously. No you clearly do not, so stop it with the generic, lame responses. Some of the complaints I made were made by other guests' reviews and nothing ever changed.
