Comfortable stay, lovely food

Just returned from a two night stay on Dinner, Bed & Breakfast rate. We stayed in room 21, Basil, around the herb garden. Happy with the room, slept well, loved the fact we had a coffee machine, fridge, water, milk on request, slippers and gowns. Plenty of free parking, friendly staff and delicious dinner and breakfast. We particularly enjoyed the selection of homemade granolas. Background music played in the evening at dinner but not at breakfast, would be great if it was both. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back!

Dissatisfied

Rude bar male staff member ,inaccurate bar bill ,very expensive drinks and whole stay overpriced .
Stained carpet in the hallway adjacent to room number 6 ,paint work on the corridor walls dingy paint peeling off of the banister woken early by music booming up through the floor of the room , grubby plastic art type studio stool to sit at the dressing table . The shower was over the bath which was lethal to get in and out of ,just one small handrail suctioned on the tiles inside above the bath taps to hold on to .
Coffee machine with no instructions how to use it .
I would have queried the bar bill but there was a long queue of residents complaining and needed to get home .

Went for a wedding reception held at hotel. Bought the same round every time got charged different amounts every time. Ordered a vodka cranberry and a large red wine got charged £24.90 when I questioned this got told I was abusive. I was being assertive. Beware automatically charge for the most expensive if you don’t clarify what brand you want. Bar management refused to apologise. How many people have been scammed who have had a drink. Would not recommend stay away.

Perfect Birthday Break!

Any hospitality experience is an amalgam of the fixed points: the hotel buildings and setting, the quality of the food and service, etc - and the variables: weather, fellow guests, staff on particular shifts etc. Well for us, all factors fell magically into place - TM is in a great coastal location, and our food was great, although you probably wouldn't go here just for the vegetarian options - but when we mentioned this, other off-menu options were presented, which was kind. Otherwise, the fish and seafood were as good as I've had anywhere for a long time - kippers oysters, salt cod croquettes, monkfish were all excellent - but the simple fish and chips were the best I've EVER had. Of course, you can only be so positive about a place when the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming as was the case. Aranka in particular made our stay a special one but everyone made us feel at home - including the wedding party, who we had some fun with. Thanks Titchwell Manor!

Met for friday early evening drinks with friends.

We have known this place, as locals, for many years and filed it under "special occasions", which in our experience the quality of the food and venue certainly deserve. However, met friends up for drinks at short notice and the penny dropped that this also a great bar and a perfect spot to sit near the fire and just kick off the weekend with a beer or two and a couple of plates of tasty nibbles.
