A real Marriott hotel; great quality, extremely well trained and respectful staff, nice continental breakfast (with an extra fee, but the buffet could offer some more options but they do make you different types of eggs and omelettes on demand).
There's also a bus station right in front the hotel which allows you to take the 30M bus line directly to Nişantaşı and Osmanbey metro station.
Although the hotel is up the hill, but the location is great.

Mixed Experiences
I have stayed twice this year at AC Hotel Maçka—first in March for 3 nights and then in December for a week. My experiences during these stays were quite different.
The first stay in March was almost perfect. The receptionist upgraded my room as part of my Bonvoy Gold membership benefits, the breakfast was excellent, and the breakfast staff truly stood out with their exceptional service. The hotel’s stunning views added to the overall experience.
However, my second stay in December left me feeling disappointed and, frankly, scammed. I had booked a standard room using Bonvoy points. Upon check-in, the receptionist offered me an upgrade to a Bosphorus view room, which, as a Gold member, I would have expected to receive as a complimentary benefit. Instead, I was charged for the upgrade, and the cost was nearly equivalent to the rate of a standard room for a paid reservation.
I specifically asked the receptionist to cancel my points-based reservation since I was now paying for the upgraded room. Unfortunately, my request was ignored, and the hotel deducted the points for the standard room while also charging me for the upgrade.
This experience has left me feeling disappointed and undervalued as a loyal Marriott Bonvoy Gold member and made me to reconsider not staying at this hotel again for future visits.

Charming hotel
In Istanbul it is not easy not to make a mistake with the location. Everything is far away, long, traffic jams, terrible. My hotel really didn't disappoint me. Even the promised view of the Bosphorus, in a volume of at least one square meter, was there. Besiktas district, near the stadium, Dolmabahce Palace, respectively the sea, even the fashionable Istinye Park shopping center - just half an hour in traffic jams. And there are a lot of restaurants and nice places in the area that stay open until late.

Average stay
Booked 2 rooms at the AC hotel Istanbul.
Good:
1. Location
2. Being a platinum elite member, got an upgrade for the room
Bad:
1. Breakfast is very average. Barely any options and also quite expensive at 20 euros per person. All they have is bread omelette cheese yogurt juice and coffee.
2. The rooms were small and stuffy as the air conditioners were not working. It was always hot in the rooms
3. Despite requesting for an early checkin at 10 am, our room wasn’t ready till 3 pm.

It is near to one of the most famous hotels in Istanbul, the Swiss Hotel, but way more affordable, the rooms are on good standard, there is a small terrace for breakfast, the employees are friendly and helpful, a lot of important goals are in walking reaching distance... would come there again in future !
