Excellent customer service by Ella & Leen - I'm not sure if our stay would have rated excellent without them. We also like Baharda from the restaurant who made every effort to make sure we were cated for.

Need to think thermal

The hotel is generally good in terms of the price but there was no bakery in the room, we asked to come and hang out, it was a bad work with paper tapes, what was the reason why it didn't hang out before guests came, it was absolutely not a thermal hotel, we went to the thermal pool like 5 in the evening water 33 degrees, sauna steam room is like an indoor ice they said so opened, thermal pool should be at 38.40 degrees, the atmosphere should be the pool 20 degrees, in short, the spa area is completely missing

NON-THERMAL HOTEL

What I liked: 1) dinner and the staff serving it. No complaints here, everything is very good, dinner included salad, soup, main course and even dessert. Drinks: water and tea. The quantity is more than sufficient, even an excess of food, the food is delicious, there were no repeats. The service was very good, the waiter was pleasant, they always left a tip. Dinner was served in an indoor restaurant on the roof; the view was magnificent, no worse than from the observation deck
2) The bathroom in the room is very large, well renovated, a huge shower like a small hammam, there is a small sink like in a hammam and a dish for it.
3) room area, design and renovation in general. We took a two-room junior suite, the contents fully met our expectations.
4) cleaning, everything was replenished and cleaned well
5) reception staff (men) - polite, helpful, spoke good English, offered any help
All of the above is crossed out by two main unpleasant points and a number of smaller shortcomings:
1) in the name royal thermal hotel the second word should be crossed out. I chose this hotel largely because of the thermal pool and other spa. The hotel is located in the area of Çekirge, rich in thermal waters, among similar hotels with thermal spas. At first I considered the neighboring one, but chose a simpler one, but the thermal component was mandatory, one of the reasons for visiting Bursa. Upon arrival at the hotel, we inquired about the spa and thermal pool, to which we received the answer - closed, “out of season.” Silent scene - what is an off-season in a thermal hotel? Has the mountain stopped giving water? When is the season? I note that we visited during the May holidays. If I had known about this, I 100 percent would not have taken the hotel, because it is worth overpaying for it only because of the thermal spa. Next, a day later (May 3) we walked with our feet to the spa and found a freely available log for spa treatments with the last entry for two clients on April 28. Was it the season then? And after 5 days it ended? In April of the previous year, there were entries in the booking reviews about the thermal pool. Apparently there was a breakdown (?), but the staff decided to lie about it being out of season. Immediately a huge minus for the hotel, I do not recommend it. There are no warnings about this on the hotel website! It is not written about season and non-season.
2) the second big negative point: on the trip we celebrated our wedding anniversary, we even took a copy of our marriage certificate with us. On the Mediterranean coast, it’s customary for hotels to do something nice for tourists on this occasion, I didn’t know how to do this in Bursa, so we wouldn’t be offended by a refusal, no one owes anyone anything. But when we turned to the woman at the reception with a certificate on May 2, she pretended that she didn’t understand what we were talking about (both she and I spoke in English). I pretended to be a rag, so to speak. This is a very very bad moment for the hotel's reputation. If she had simply said ok, we don’t have any programs for such a holiday, it would have been ok, but she reacted negatively. I went and wrote a similar request about the anniversary through Booking, and as if by magic, everyone suddenly understood everything, started calling, fawning, and offering options. The funny thing is that the hotel ended up giving us a pitiful plate of fruit - sliced banana, apple, tangerine and kiwi, which definitely didn't make us poorer. Why the lady at the reception ran into a negative review is unclear; the plate was definitely not worth it. Once again I do not recommend the hotel, 4* hotels should not behave like this. We don't need these fruits, the sediment remains
3) very weak Wi-Fi. On the first evening they proudly advertised it to us, but it constantly crashes and the signal is weak. This is a big problem in the modern world.
4) just laughter - view from the window (see photo). We had one of the best rooms - a two-room one. And it is from here that the view rests directly on the wall. We laughed at how illogical this was. There is no warning.
5) weak breakfast for four, the sweet table is better than the main one, many minor flaws, for example, we came first for breakfast, and all the yogurts did not have spoons to serve them with, while the staff stands chatting among themselves. A kettle on May 4th with a half-torn handle, which is generally dangerous, it contains boiling water.
6) shortcomings of the repair - a crooked sofa, damaged wallpaper in one place, a cracked toilet under the rim. Number 515
7) cardboard cups in the room instead of normal mugs, you can’t drink tea properly, you had to ask for mugs.
I would turn a blind eye to points 4-7, if not for points 1-2, they speak sharply negatively about the hotel

The pros about staying at this hotel:
-fabulous buffet breakfast with lots of hot and cold options like salads, dips, hard boiled and scrambled eggs, lots of different breads and pastries, several yogurt options, fruit, espresso based coffee drinks and tea.
-parking was free of charge.
-room was spacious and quiet.
-the bed was comfortable.
-the shower was good.
The cons:
-the spa was not open and no one notified us in advance, we only found out upon check in. The main reason to come to Bursa is to experience the thermal waters, so we had to go to a different hotel for that.
-the rooms and hallways have carpet which I'm sure they clean on a daily basis but it was difficult to tell.
-there were signs of humidity on the bathroom ceiling, the paint was bubbling and peeling.
-they only provide two pillows for the bed.

Where do I begin? Don’t be deceived by the lobby when we went up to the third floor to our room the carpet were extremely dirty and smelled of cigarettes when we got to our room we noticed there was black mold in the bathroom and the room itself was dirty. I went back to reception and asked to be switched to a different room, they switched us to a different room on the way to the room by the room on the wall. There was black mold when we entered the room the carpet was extremely dirty, cigarette stains, and it wasn’t even vacuumed. We told them about the black mold, and they said sorry nothing they could do.
