Location is perfect, however room is a bit small and a small window.
During cyn, it doesn’t have many shops open up around the area for breakfast and we need to take train for 2 stations to get good dinner.

Better than I expected

My wife booked us into the Caesar Park Taipei Hotel for a four-night stay as it was highly recommended in a Japanese guidebook, but after reading some of the reviews here, I was a bit anxious about our stay. Fortunately, our room on the 11th floor was quite nice. It appeared to have been recently redone and upgraded to make it suitable for publicity photos. The king bed was very comfortable (although my wife would have appreciated an extra blanket). The bathroom was extra large, but both the shower and toilet were enclosed in glass, without a shade for the toilet, which could make for an awkward situation for some. There were no grab bars for the tub or toilet, so seniors may have some difficulties.
The view was great as we faced the beautiful Taipei Main Station, which is accessible from the hotel via the underground complex, which houses many shops and restaurants. We were lucky enough to catch some of the aspiring young dance groups practicing their routines in hallways off the main ones.
The breakfast at the hotel features a wide variety of dishes and is quite popular with the guests. The room is quite large, so the wait time to enter doesn’t seem to be a problem. However, the breakfast is quite pricy. From the 2nd day on, we opted to grab breakfast in the underground complex. We found that the morning sandwiches at Jhen Fang (just across from the 7-11 near the underground entrance to the hotel) make a decent breakfast at a reasonable price. There are many street-side breakfast spots on the side streets near the hotel, but the ones I spotted seemed mainly for the locals. Jhen Fang has a menu in English, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
One particular problem with our room, besides the glass enclosures, was the unreliable electrical outlets (110V). Some of them didn’t always work.
Two recommendations: 1) The rooftop garden offers some nice views. From there we could see that the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall was within walking distance. 2) The 2-28 Peace Park, just a few blocks from the hotel, is a great place for a morning walk or jog before or after breakfast.

Booked a room that was supposed to be 33sqm, it definitely wasn't and a large part of the space was the balcony.
The toilet smelt absolutely disgusting, complained the first day and they sent housekeeping. The lady did not take off her shoes before walking into the room and later pretended like there was no smell. Kept telling me it smelt fine, and at one point even suggested that we had already used the toilet hence the smell!!! Deep down they know there's a problem with the piping because the lady came with an air purifier and lemongrass spray. It's obviously a complaint they receive all the time hence she came ready prepared. Complained the second day and they just left the bottle of lemongrass spray in the room.
Room is dated, mouldy and dusty, just look at the photos. Even the bathroom door partially broke off. The only good thing about the hotel is the location. Everything else left very little to be desired

Stayed here almost everytime I’m in Taipei!
Spacious rooms, and this time round we had a very hardworking housekeeping lady!
She was sure to cleaned up the toilets and make our beds even when we woke up late some days!
Hotel rooms mostly renovated, but the hot water in the hotel isn’t very smooth.
It’s either too hot or cold. Other wise, everything else was great!
Location is best!
