A classy/comfortable manor

Located in leafy Aviary Hill, Newcastle, Avalon is a quality guest manor. We stayed here for 2 nights. Siphan and her staff welcomed us like we were family. The bedroom was large, very tastefully and plushly decorated and the bed very comfortable. It had all the amenities you would normally see on an expensive hotel. Breakfast is included and delicious. I highly recommend Avalon.

A gem in Newcastle SA

I was blown away by the service of the staff when I arrived, but in the morning met the owner and then realised why, as she is amazing and remembers everyone's names. My room was lovely, my bed so comfortable and the breakfast really good.I would recommend it to anybody.

Impressed

I made a late booking and arrived after 8pm, cold and raining. I received a warm welcome by Lydia whom booked me in and escorted me the the annex section of the guest house. I realized a left my cellphone at reception and before i could even make arrangements to get it back she already drove to the annex and gave it to me.
I was impressed with the ac that warmed the room and the electrical blanket that was on. I loved the BIG containers with shampoo, body wash etc with writing that any over 40s can read the label in the shower.
The breakfast was a real boere breakfast with use portions.
Avalon is a lovely place with friendly staff.
Thanks for a lekker stay.

World Class Service

The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. Service was excellent and the staff delivered on all their promises. Well done Avalon, a breath of fresh air in an industry that often serves up mediocrity.

Absolute Perfection

You would be forgiven thinking you are in some top world class hotel , this guest house must be one of the top establishments in Kwa Zula Natal if not the whole of South Africa. The rooms are very tastefully decorated , the rooms are spotless and so is the whole property, the staff is friendly and efficient , the food is delicious. Siephan have really paid attention to all the needs of the travelers .
