A family-run bed and breakfast, Carramore House is a spacious home in pretty Knock, County Mayo. Host Kathleen Carty offers complimentary tea/coffee and superb local knowledge. Just 500m from the world-famous Knock Shrine, an international site of pilgrimage and prayer, the area comprises five churches set upon 100 acres of landscaped gardens. Parking is available at the house and guests are ably assisted in planning routes and itineraries. Close to Knock Airport.

Great Place

Easy walking distance to the Knock Shrine as well as good restaurants, shopping, and pubs. The breakfast was on time and delicious. Helpful advice was freely given for the Shrine and for directions to the main highway.

Great place

Really nice place with wonderful host. Very convenient to Knock and N17. Place is clean but not modern room was more than sufficient. Breakfast was great and she is a very welcoming and helpful owner. We will definitely go back again

Lovely!

Kathleen Carty is very welcoming & breakfast was yummy! Lovely,quiet home,very near to the shrine. Knock shrine was a must stop for us & the grounds are beautiful! Holy water is a must for visiting Catholiss! Our first B&B set a high standard for future stops. Beds are comfy with a very accommodating host. Thanks,Kathleen!

Very warm hosts, comfortable, convenient

The family that owns this BnB is lovely and very helpful. If you're going to the Shrine for a weekend, this is the perfect place to stay - quiet, calm, and their dog is adorable! Highly recommended. Also, the breakfast is delicious.

Warm welcome...

This was our first stop in Ireland, and Kathleen and John gave us a very warm welcome. The house is very conveniently located to town, within walking distance of everything. John gave us some great recommendations, including all the information we needed for the ferry a couple days later. The room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent!
