Decent and sturdy that works excellent for bicycling holidays

This hotel delivers! It presents you the normal as what you expect from German hotels (make up your own bed, all is clean, everything is available, water bottle against payment) but with some extra.
Large facility to store (and charge) your bicycle which underlines that this hotel caters well for cyclers. It also has quite a decent and good restaurant (we didn't take breakfast so not aware of how that works out).
Good bed, sufficiently large room, nice bathroom with warm enough shower and good lights.
The owner helped us a lot to solve an issue with our bike-computer. He was open and told us a lot of where to go and where not.
So at the edge of a forest and a bit away from town, this is a good hotel for active holiday makers that look for a decent and sturdy hotel.

cozy well-run hotel

Well-kept hotel, clean rooms, very good food
We often travel in Germany during the "dark season" and have seen hotels where the pictures you book on booking.com, for example, have nothing to do with reality. Here everything was just right.

Nice weekend for cycling

We had a large double room with comfortable beds. We were delighted with the extensive breakfast and the restaurant menu, which also included vegan dishes. As cyclists, we were able to park our bikes in a special bike garage, which offered good charging options for our batteries. The staff were friendly and attentive, even though there was a large group in the event room on Saturday. The house is conveniently located but still quiet on a main road on the outskirts of Borken and is ideal for bike tours in the surrounding area.

Exzellente Ruh' im Waldesruh

Having had a long and exhaust journey I could find my quiet ambiance in this hotel. The room was clean and clear, the bed was comfortable. This hotel is perfect for a business journey. The staff was friendly and welcoming even I arrived after 22:00 o'clock. I have enjoyed the breakfast provided with hot and cold dishes and the most fresh bakery product like Semmel, Croissants and bread slices. Although I have only spent one night here I can recommend it for everybody.

Excellent!

Perfect hotel for our stay, very welcoming, absolutely spotlessly clean everywhere, we stayed in a family room which was very spacious. We had bed and breakfast, breakfast staff couldn’t have been more helpful, we chose to eat both evenings at the hotel too and it was delicious and reasonably priced with great service. Would recommend this hotel 100%!
