I’ve been wanting to visit since watching the Korean drama Goblin!
What a gem, beautiful place with historic elements. Room is slightly on the smaller side.
What I love most is the free activities that came with it. We did the ferry tour to Levis and riedel wine tasting! A wonderful experience!

Staff were amazing and hotel has a lot of character but room was cold and dark (and we paid for an upgrade to a room with a window!) and the bathroom floor was like ice, though the bed was very comfortable.

the room was small I expected bigger from the point of view of the photos, I had the deluxe river view but the room looked like a small normal room. I have the impression that I did not get my money's worth. Otherwise for the rest it was good the staff kind and helpful.

Beautiful hotel steeped in rich history, very well maintained and much nicer with the recent renovation of rooms. The pool and hot tub were nice, the boys that worked in the pool room were absolutely sweet and brought us towels, slippers to wear back to the room and even offered to take some pictures of us since we were struggling to take one of us ourselves. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms fresh and updated and the only issue we had was that the room’s fridge was full of drink items that were charged even when moved and there was no refrigeration space for specific foods we needed or for anything brought back from meals. The bar fridge is a nice touch, although ridiculously expensive, but having storage for a traveler’s own items would be much better.

Overall, this is a very stunning hotel and special to stay at. I went with my partner and while we were happy with our stay, we wish we had stayed longer at Monsieur Jean instead as the bed was much more comfortable, the room more modern, and the value much better.
It may have been due to the weather or hockey tournaments in town, but room service took two hours for dinner and we could hear loud kids in the room next to us several nights. It was just more of a family stay vibe than a romantic couple's getaway. The pool is also much less nice and much smaller than the pictures look online.
That being said, it's a gorgeous hotel and we loved our view. Nothing was overtly bad about our stay at all, but we felt the other hotel was much better and we had much better food elsewhere for way less than the hotel restaurant's prices.
